| i have only bought a maxim dvd player from woolworths and all my personal svcd`s have lip sync probs.after i play them on our dansai player they're ok.is there a problem using the player or even maybe the direction they are encoded.once i encode them employing tmpgec i generally use cq setting and use somewhat rate regarding between 2500 and 2900 depending on motion picture length and a quality placing of among 80 along with 95.your audio is generally 192 or 224.the picture quality is very useful using these configurations with almost no blocking.i've over 150 svcd`s encoded like this consequently its any pain not to be able to watch them about the new digital video disc and have to watch them about my previous one which won't look mor sound as great.any assist will be great.

sounds like you've produced xsvcd's there with the higher bitrates. maybe the brand new player can not handle them well.
